Your questions answered
Common questions from caregivers
Do I need an STNA or CNA to work on Elaine?
Yes. Every caregiver on Elaine holds a current STNA or CNA certification, verified against the state registry. Companion-only caregivers are not accepted at this time.
Can I choose which visits I accept?
Yes. Visits near you appear in the app with the address area, time, type of care and pay. You accept the ones that fit. Declining a visit does not affect which visits you see next.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
No. There is no minimum and no schedule you have to commit to. Caregivers who set availability in the app are offered visits first.
What happens during a visit?
You clock in on arrival, follow the care plan the family set up in the app, log the tasks you completed, write a short visit note and clock out. The family sees the note when the visit ends.
Can I also work for an agency?
Yes. Elaine is not exclusive. Many caregivers accept visits on Elaine around agency or facility hours.
